How to repair timber door frame?

Hi Team,

I have wooden door frame with painted ,recently I noticed the paint came out like bubbles and I checked in side the bolt like a rest . I can’t remove because it is connected inside . How can I fill and how to refuse rest the metal bolts. I am attaching photos.
Please advise me with all details.

If the piece of metal isn't sitting below the surface of the timber, then the first thing you'll want to do is cut it back so that it is slightly recessed and can be covered. Something like a mini hacksaw, specifically the type with the blade extending from the handle rather than a full bow frame like this https://www.bunnings.com.au/trojan-300mm-mini-hack-saw_p0191082 , should allow you to get into the area and cut it back.

Once you've cut it back, I'd give the exposed metal a spray with some cold gal primer to help protect it from corrosion. Make sure you mask off the surrounding timber so you're only spraying the exposed metal.

You can then fill the remaining hole with a suitable timber filler or something like Turbo Builder's Bog. Builder's Bog can be sanded and painted once cured, so it would be a good option if there is a reasonable-sized void to fill.

The tricky part is going to be replicating the finish. From your photo, the door frame appears to have a thin timber-look veneer over it. Once that has been damaged, getting an invisible repair will be very difficult.

The simplest option aesthetically would be to prepare and paint the entire frame so the repaired section blends in. Alternatively, if you want to retain the timber-look finish, you could do your best to replicate the colours and grain using small amounts of paint and some fine craft brushes. Using a couple of slightly different brown tones and painting in some fine grain lines should help disguise the repair, although matching the existing veneer perfectly will be difficult.
