Reno at mums house. She had a leak in the shower so I decided to do all the bathroom and toilet floor. Never done anything like this before. But after lots of help from Bunnings staff and Youtube I decided to do it. Here are the pictures.
Wow, congratulations @Victordepp. What a fantastic transformation. You should be really proud of all your hard work.
I'm sure this reno will be much admired by the Workshop community and you'll receive plenty of questions.
Could you please start by giving us a little more detail about what you did and your approximate budget?

Noice!
Fantastic job. Your lucky Mum!
Hi - did you just put vinyl over the top of the existing tiles?
Hi @amelia,
Welcome to Workshop and apologies for the slow reply. We're pleased to have you join the community and look forward to reading about your own projects and plans. Feel free to post anytime you need a hand or have something to share.
Let me tag @Victordepp so he is alerted to your question about the flooring.
@amelia
Hi this is floating floor. And yes I put straight over the tiles. It's so awesome and easy to install.
@Victordepp Thanks! Good to know !
Wow, good job, how long did it take @Victordepp?
That’s great. I didn’t think it’s not difficult to install new flooring on existing tiles. I’ll check this option. It’s Great . Thanks
Great Job, I am considering doing the same but in vinyl overlaying old 70's floor tiles in the loo.
Is that silicone sealant around the toilet base?
Any tips on how you worked out the contour profile of the toilet base so flooring is cut to fit around nice and neat like you did?
Hi @Sidney7,
Let me mention @Victordepp, so they are alerted to your question.
Using a contour gauge would make copying the contour of the toilet onto your vinyl a super easy process.
Alternatively, you can make a template out of cardboard and then transfer the outline of your toilet pan onto the vinyl. That way, you can have a few goes at getting the contour correct before attempting the final cut-out on the vinyl.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
