Laundry is attached to kitchen so can be used as a pantry but we needed to setup a multiple purpose space for all kitchen and laundry appliances. Also wanted a space for my bar crockery. So did below kind of setup using mdf board as pillar and used solid wood screwed into stud on the side wall to support benchtop. Used acacia brown boards for benchtop and shelving. $450 budgeted project.
