Previously an impractical, unaccessible outdoor space with no viewing areas for the seaside view, it had to be changed.
Well overgrown and bordering a reserve, the site was excavated to allow for defined terraces and flat, usable space.
Retaining walls to secure the bank and offer garden space have been built (not fully stained nor capped yet). The original lower path has been kept and will be tidied to keep costs low. Finishing will include; new landscape steps, concrete painting the original masonary to freshen and a good exterior waterblastalong with a full plant out.
This has been done for a friends elderly aunt who has lived here for 47 years and always thought the exterior lacked a space to sit and enjoy the view. Given this, I have reserved some of the demo timber etc from the internal reno and will be making her a seat to sit and enjoy a cuppa and admire the view.
Pics are before excavation, post retaining wall but pre finishing.
