Aluminium lined, head beads on top. Relies on radiant heat to cook. Google la caja china if you want to know more about them. I didn't like the reference to China, so I called it the hog box.

Many thanks for sharing your interesting project. How long would it take to roast a large portion of meat in that box and what sort of meats have you done in it? I'm very keen to get back into roasting outside, but I have noticed since my family have moved away I am doing it less and less.
Is that a pizza oven in the background as well? You certainly seem to have all the outdoor cooking methods covered.
