Repainted old solid wood cupboards, replaced benchtops and taps, and retiled.

Cupboards...Dulux Renovation Range- colour Ticking

Benchtops....26mm Acacia Solid Oiled Hardwood

Taps.... Shaw & Mason ceramic disk

Tiles... 600x300 porcelain

The benchtops are on the thin side but as there is no sink cutout, they should be ok.

They are a bit soft though and if they start looking ratty I'll tile over them with a timber look tile.

Cut  tile in half and inlayed into bench either side of stove for Hot Pot Spots™😉

Had the diy bug, so also made a spice rack using an 18mm merbau utilty panel.

It's great to have you join us and many thanks for sharing your project. What a fantastic transformation that has made to the overall feel of the kitchen, you should be extremely happy with your work. Did you complete this all by yourself? I like the idea of inlaying the tile into the bench, as I'm forever looking for a place to rest hot pans and trays with none to be found. The spice rack is also a nice finishing touch.
