I'm planning to build a work desk with flip top vanity mirror.
Can you please suggest on how to chose correct hinge (doesn't go beyond ~110 degrees) and gas struts (soft open/close with stay) for the lift/flip-top design?

The most basic option could be to use a Prestige 131mm Lid Support Stay and a piano hinge. You might also be able to use the Kaboodle Slimline Cabinet Hinge Pack depending on how thick your desktop is.
