Wooden framed Gazebo

Hi Community,

I have been looking to add a wooden gazebo to our outdoor area for while, but getting ridiculous quotes so fancied having a go myself. Does anyone know where I can find a plan to work from to help me get the correct wood sizes and plan costs etc? It's nothing elaborate 5m x 4m fixed to the roof eave along one edge with an apex roof...

I've noted on previous discussions that members have mentioned sketchup.com and buildsomething.com for plans on pergolas.

You'll find many of the techniques used in this step-by-step D.I.Y. tutorial How to build a pergola will be similar to your project. Technically since your build is joining to a house it would commonly be called a pergola as a gazebo is a stand-alone structure.
