How to seal pavers and fill gaps?

The mortar has cracked pix1 and pavers moved pix2

The previous owner has attempted repairs (with silicone) but not successfully.

there is a large area that will need removal of perished sealing, some water accumulates with rain.

For pix1 I'm thinking some sort of industrial silicone and topped with

a plastic L shape angle.

For pix2 some sort of silicone based mortar to blend in.

Your suggestions will be appreciated.

You might like to try Selley's Mortar Works, the colour Sand looks fairly similar, and it is more flexible than mortar. You could use Sikaflex 11FC around the pillar and then add a Brutus 25 x 25 x 2.5mm x 2.4m Angle Building Moulding over it.

@Gofinn,

Personally, I would advise filling the gaps and seeing how long that lasts. This separation might be from some time ago with the movement now ceasing. To fix this issue, you need to take the first couple of courses up, level the ground and then compact it before relaying.

Brought MortarFill and use it in the narrow gaps.

From 1 tube you get about 2-3m way too expensive.

Would Flexible pointing mortar work ? also need it in sand colour.

or is there some other product with more flexibility.

Hi @Gofinn,

How many lineal meters do you need to do? You can push filler rod down into the gap first to take up the bulk of the space. That should dramatically reduce the amount of MortarFill you are using.

Flexible pointing mortar would most likely work. However, I'm not sure that would be any less of a cost. Was there a particular one you were looking at?
