Sequoia slab drinks table

This slab came from a Sequoia tree that came down in heavy winds in Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

I left it to dry for just over 3 years.

It's now destined to be a drinks and nibbles table for our covered deck area.

Table top is finished with Feast Watson Outdoor Furniture Oil. Legs are made from a big slab of messmate I got from a house demolition.

The legs are just simple dado and rabbet jointed pieces. I have a table saw and dado stack which make these kinds of joints very fast and easily repeatable.

They're attached to the slab via 4 M8 threaded inserts which are embedded in the slab.
