I watched the video on preparing the shower floor and the screeding, my question is "Do I seal the floor with a paint on water seal product. including taping the edges to the wall before I tile the floor"

Once you have levelled and graded your shower base towards the drain outlet, you must apply a waterproofing membrane over the screed and up the walls. This includes taping the joints between the walls and the floor.
