Back door step
This is a photo of a timber landing I made. The reason for it was the step from floor level to ground level was over the maximum allowed by the building code. The previous step was a concrete block that was a bit narrow.
That looks like a fantastic solution to a tricky issue @GeoffB. I'm sure many of our members have awkward steps where something like this could help solve the problem.
