These Tasmanian Oak boxes finished with food-grade oil are a stylish way to store fresh produce.

The project
I knocked up a couple of fruit boxes using 90 x 19mm Tasmanian Oak offcuts.

I used a stencil to add this design.

I’m using one to hold fruit in our kitchen as I used a food-grade oil on the timber.

Rod also made these planter boxes using leftover decking and attached them to reinforcing mesh to create a vertical garden.
