Smallest island bench that’s feasible

We are planning a kitchen reno and don’t have a lot of space to work with. I’d love to do an island bench but don’t have a lot of space. What do you think is the smallest that is feasible? It will just be bench space – no sink. I think the most space we could use would be 2m by about 0.8 or 0.9m. What do you think? Is that big enough?

Hard to know without seeing the entire floorplan @_Marley_, but I would certainly encourage you to try to get an island bench in the design. You will find in most kitchens and indeed houses that they become a hive of activity and the focus of much of the house. A place to not only prepare food but also to eat and socialise. Also, you can never get enough bench space!
