D.I.Y. bike and scooter rack with helmet stand

Here I have built my kids a bike/scooter stand with helmet stand.

I was sick of having all these bikes, scooters and helmets laying around the front door. So I gathered up all these recycled timber to construct a practical stand for this small space next to my front door.

Instead of buying hooks, I managed to find these railway sleeper iron pegs which I cut down, and screws on to the stand so the helmets can be hung.

What a fantastic and practical bike and scooter stand. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful project. I'm sure the kids are now eager to park their rides into their designated parking spot. The timber trim gives it a nice break from the black paint. Any tips or advice you can give to our members wanting to attempt this project would be much appreciated.
