Can I render a second coat of cement mix over the first before tiling?

Hi. 

Have started to render the shower where the old tiles took off the existing plaster. 

I have done one coat of cement mix render. But I have a few areas that are not flat and Rea that need about another 5mm to build out to be level.

Can I simply mix up more the next day and render a 2nd coat over what I hVe already done ?

Thank you for posting the photo of your project. I recommend waiting for the first render to dry off. This will prevent moisture from being trapped in the render and degrading its hold on the wall. When the render is dry, you can proceed to add another layer of render to reach your desired level. I suggest opening windows and doors to allow air to move around the area, this will prevent moisture from being trapped in the room. You're making excellent progress, please keep us updated.
