Having trouble setting up my new Ryobi Sliding Compound Mitre Saw RMS254DB. Cannot move or straighten the saw blade

Could you please tell our helpful members a little more about the issue you're experiencing? Is it that the saw blade is out of alignment, or are you not able to swivel the saw to adjust the mitre angle, or perhaps you are unable to tilt the saw over to perform a compound cut? The swivel function and tilt action are released via unscrewing the handle on the front and the knob on the rear of the machine.
