This outdoor storage box keeps the backyard organised while also providing a space to keep drinks cool.

The project
Inspiration for this project came from my cute puppy. We got a storage basket for all of her toys, but she chewed that to pieces. I thought I would go up a level and build something a bit harder for her to destroy. At the same time, I have also always wanted to make an outdoor esky or mini fridge for entertaining.

I started by building a planter box design, and added a basic lid using Pine. I painted the insides using Woodland Grey paint, and then used decking timber to clad the outside.

I incorporated a 60L ice box for those summer night barbecues. Great for storage of food for barbecues and beers on ice. I made it at an ideal height for guests to sit on.
