How to keep pigeons away from solar panels?

Less than 9 months since I installed solar panels - and pigeons using them for nesting. At times scary noise through out the day - and tiles scratching sound as well. 

Need to find cost effective solution to manage these cute creatures away from my roof. 

About 18 panels on my roof.

Any advice would help - reference to reasonable tradie would help to .

Suggestions in those discussions include adding bird netting/spikes, gutter guard, or installing fake owls.

If you were able to show us some images of the gap you'll need to fill, it will assist our members in understanding what solutions they could suggest.
