This front and security door were refreshed with Porter's Paints Hamptons Blue.
The project
We painted the house and finally got to the front door. Picking the right colour can be hard. We selected Hamptons Blue from Porter's Paints and painted both the front and security door.
How to paint a door
Step 1
Take off the security door. Clean and then lightly sand both the entrance and security door.
Step 2
Lay down a drop sheet before you start painting. Take your time to paint, let in dry, and then do a second coat.
Step 3
Use a smaller brush to paint the security door. Don't overload the brush and try to work in small sections. After each section, check for drips. After painting one side, let it dry, and turn it over to paint the other side.
