Can you mount a Dyson vacuum docking station into a hollow wall?

Hi,

Just looking for some advice/guidance on whether it's OK to mount a Dyson vacuum docking station into a hollow wall (as there isn't a stud in the position I'd like to mount it)?

The vacuum weighs about 2.5-3 Kg's.

If it's OK to mount the docking station in the hollow wall, what anchors would be suitable? Would something like these Ramset Universal anchor's do the trick?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Michael11

The wall anchors that you have shown are for concrete or brick walls

I normally use these wall mates for plaster walls where there is no studs available.

Just follow the instructions on the pack.

I used these they type of fasteners https://www.bunnings.com.au/ramset-3-16-x-50mm-countersunk-head-toggle-spring-4-pack_p2265630 to mount my Dyson docking station. I have used them to fix shelve to plaster walls where I can't locate a stud. I've also used the hook spring toggles to hang pot plants from the ceiling as well. Wouldn't use anything else.

It's great that you've received excellent advice from @JoeAzza and @Jobey. I agree with their recommendations, you can also use the Ramset 16mm Hollow Wall Anchor - 4 Pack as an alternative.
