Following on from the conversation a while ago surrounding pets (and how to stop them destroying the garden), I thought I'd share my sister's recent idea which I thought was simple but brilliant. She recently moved into a small unit and set up a raised garden bed to bulk out the tiny garden area, and then the next day lost almost all of the freshly planted seedlings when her dog needed to bury a bone...
She built a light fence around her garden bed to keep her little dog out but wanted her to still have somewhere to dig and also have some grass to chew on - quick trip to Bunnings and some leftover dirt from the garden bed voila!
