Hi. I have just bought an Ozito 12v cordless drill. Could I use the battery from that in an Ozito 18v Circular saw or other Ozito power tool.
can i buy a replacement charger for ozito hlt 072 grass trimmer please
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @tandem. It's fabulous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about purchasing replacement chargers.
The Ozito Hedge/Grass trimmer HLT-072 is a current model, so I see no reason why Ozito wouldn't have the replacement chargers available. Please see the Special Orders team at your local Bunnings, and they'll place an order for you.

Hello @ahmedtamim21
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's a pleasure to have you join us and thank you for sharing your question about the Ozito battery.
I don't recommend using the Ozito charger on the Milwaukee battery. Ozito only recommends using Ozito batteries on Ozito chargers. Testing other branded batteries could result in an electrical short, fire and serious injury.
In the interest of safety, please do not test or use the Ozito charger on any other type of battery.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
are Bunnings XU1 18V and Bunnings OzitoX PXC 18V batteries interchangeable
Hello @barrycc
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's a pleasure to have you join us and thank you for sharing your question about the Ozito and XU1 batteries.
I don't recommend swapping batteries on either branded tool. Ozito only recommends using Ozito batteries on Ozito tools. Testing other branded batteries or swapping them over could result in an electrical short, fire and serious injury.
In the interest of safety, please do not test or use the Ozito battery on any other tool. I also don't recommend using the XU1 battery on any Ozito tool either. Any damage caused by battery swapping will void your warranty.
Hi EricL,
Thanks for your reply. I fully understand your reply and the dangers associated with interchangeability. My concern is about the mechanical changeability rather than the electrical. Before I make any swap I would compare the internal electrics and the terminal connections but more critically the fitting of appropriate BMS (Battery management System) circuitry.
I appreciate your time and perhaps you could advise the mechanical changeability.
BarryCC
Hi @barrycc
I'm sorry, but the only mechanical part I'm familiar with changing is the keyless chuck attached to the drill. The Ozito mechanical parts inside including the BMS is proprietary information.
When you mention mechanical changeability, are you referring to the internal gears of the drill itself? Was there a specific part you are hoping to change or find out about? If you can provide me with a bit more information, I can ask Ozito for you.
Eric, I should have been more specific. What I was looking for was are the batteries mechanicaly changeable i.e. If regardless of consequences can an Ozito 18 volt battery plug into an XU1 18 volt device socket and vice versa?
Hi @barrycc,
I don't believe Ozito and XU1 share the same attachment methods for their batteries, so you couldn't interchange batteries even if you wanted to. Each brand uses a proprietary attachment method to ensure users don't connect the wrong brand's battery and cause damage to the tool or battery.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
Hi Mitchell,
Thanks for your comments. I guess I'll now have to accept the fact that I'll have to have an extra charger & battery system which I was trying to avoid. Bunnings (Ozito) do not seem to have the Pole Pruner And Hedge Trimmer Kit that I was considering from XU1. On the other hand as I have to accept a new system a different unit from Kogan may be a better option for me. Oh well, such is life. B~)
Regards
Hi
Are chargers, leads, and batteries available for Ozito CDR - 012 cordless drill??
Thank you
T.
Hello @Terrenzo
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us.
I've just been in contact with the Ozito spare parts team, I'm sorry but the charger and battery for the CDR-012 has been discontinued and is no longer being produced.
I can only suggest having a look at the Antsig Multi Voltage Power Supply. They come in multiple voltage ratings and have a wide variety of adaptor ends.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Hi, I have an Ozito grass trimmer with one 18v 2.0 Ah battery - can I use that battery with an 18v 4.0 Ah on the 36v (2 batteries) whipper snipper without damaging either battery?
Thanks
Hello @Jay9
Allow me to make some inquiries regarding the use of mixed batteries on the Ozito line trimmer unit. As soon as I have more information, I'll get back to you.
Thank you for your patience.
Thank you so much for your patience, I've just been in contact with the Ozito technical team. They've informed me that it's best to use batteries with the same amperage. They don't recommend using batteries with different amperes as it could possibly damage the batteries.
I would recommend getting another Ozito PXC 18V 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery as it will give you a longer run time on your grass trimmer.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
i have an old type ozito 18v battery. is there an adapter to the current ozito battery
is there an adapter for the old ozito battery, as i have a set of tools. Or is there a battery i can buy?
Hi @biAl
Sorry it appears once they changed to then new battery standard the older system is discontinued.
Given older batteries have a natural life span of chargers it might not be at full capacity any more.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @biAl. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ozito battery compatibility.Unfortunately I am unaware of any adaptor that will allow the new battery style to fit into your older tools. If there is a model number on the older battery pack and you could provide it, I can contact Ozito after the weekend to see if there are any replacements still being made in that style. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
Hi, i have a Ozito CDR-018 cordless drill can i still obtain batteries for this model.
Peter
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community Peter (@pealve). It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question on battery availability.I'm so sorry, but unfortunately, that drill was last sold in 2015, and the replacement batteries are no longer in production. If you were looking for an upgrade, you might want to consider the Ozito PXC 18V Cordless Drill Driver Kit PXDDK-250C from the current range. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
Hi I have an 2021 grey skin battery trimmer but the current X power battery doesn't fit it falls out at the guidelines are different sizes any batteries or adapter's available?
Hello @helpmemate
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about your trimmer.
If you look closely at your trimmer, it should have a product or model sticker attached to it. This will contain its serial number, model number and other details that will tell us about your trimmer. Would it be possible for you to post a photo of that sticker? This will help us track down what kind of battery your trimmer takes.
If you need a hand posting the photos, please let me know.
Hi @helpmemate,
Thanks for that image. The battery for your trimmer is available at your local Bunnings store's Special Orders desk. If you can provide the team member with this model number, they'll be able to place your order: #300045901034. As you've noted the battery for this unit is different to the PXC range of batteries. Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
I was gifted a Makita DLM380 battery mower, the 2 batteries and charger kit is close to $400. I have Ozito 18v batteries already is there an adaptor I can buy so I can use the Ozito batteries with the Makita mower??
Cheers.
Hi @lesleymkerr,
I'm sorry, but I am unaware of any battery converters supplied by our manufacturers. I'd recommend against using aftermarket converters as our manufacturers do not sanction them, and any warranty would be voided if an issue occurred due to their use.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
