We received over 600 entries and were so impressed with the creativity and skill of the community.

The September issue of the Bunnings magazine is released today, and features the competition winners.

Best bathroom or laundry makeover

Workshop members Lauren and Lee (@theDIYedit) spent lots of time using the Kaboodle design planner before creating a light and bright family laundry that features plenty of storage and bench space.

Best kitchen makeover

Queenslander kitchen makeover by Claire and Derek

Queenslander kitchen makeover and pantry build

In the kitchen renovation of their parents’ century-old Queenslander, seasoned renovators Claire and Derek (@Renowayoflife) added functionality while maintaining character and keeping within budget.  

Best paint project

Updated dining room walls

This stunning feature wall was created by Workshop member Jemma (@jemma11) using water-based paint and a sponging technique, transforming an uninspiring space into a highlight of the home.

Best small project

Hardwood outdoor table

Workshop member Trevor (@softwareburnout) spent two months of research and then four months to build this large hardwood outdoor table. The result was certainly worth the effort.

Best upcycling makeover

Thanks again to all those Bunnings Workshop community members who entered the competition, and a special shout out to those members who joined the community for the first time during the D.I.Y. July promotion.

A huge congratulations to all Bunnings Workshop members who entered our D.I.Y. July competition. It was absolutely fantastic to see so many inspiring and creative D.I.Y. projects this year. We loved reading your stories and appreciate you sharing your projects, experiences and knowledge. 

The possibilities really are endless when it comes to D.I.Y., and this competition has been a wonderful testament of that. I can't wait to see what our creative Workshop members achieve next!

Such an incredible community and it was exciting to participate this year. I can't wait to see what others are working on and gain some insights and inspiration.

There are a lot of passionate DIY'ers - 600 entries is a lot! I can't wait to check out more projects!
