Budget laundry reno using paint

We transformed our Laundry on a budget of $1000 for DIY July. Our Laundry was in pretty good shape just needed a facelift. Laundry Reno on a Budget 

Materials

- Dulux Renovation Range Paint in White and Army Greens & Primer 

- Pro Renovator Brush and rollers

- Specright Timber which was cut by Bunnings

- Quick Boards Antique White PVC

- Calbot's Satin Clear Benchtop Timber Finish Paint

- Selleys Silicone & Sugar Soap

- Selleys Spakfilla Rapid

- Pre RenovationPre Renovation

Steps

Step 1

Demo: remove splash back, bench top and cupboard doorsDemoDemo

Step 2

Remove door handles and fill holes with Spakfilla and allow to dry. Once dry sand to a smooth surface. Continue to lightly snd using 400P sandpaper the surfaces of the cupboard doors.Sanding Cupboard doors in preparation for painting.Sanding Cupboard doors in preparation for painting.

Step 3

Vacuum any loose dust and then clean doors with a microfibres cloth and Selley's Sugar Soap.

Paint doors following the instructions on the Deluxe Renovator Range Tin.

Step 4

Benchtop: Replace bench top and cur hole for the sink. To keep costs low we didn't change any of the sink plumbing. We used Specright Timber which we had cut to length in the Bunnings workshop and sealed it with Calbot's Satin Clear Benchtop Timber Finish Paint.

Step 5

Back Splash: We patched the holes in the splash back and water proofed the area Dunlop Express Wet Area Waterproofing. We them cut and applied Quick Boards Antique White PVC for the splash back.

Step 6

Finally, we replaced the door handles and styled.
