Can I paint a Boston Burst Guard Plus Water Connector?

Hi Guys,

Looking for some tips, please. I am currently looking to give my bathroom a bit of a facelift. Can I paint a BOSTON 300mm Burst Guard Plus Water Connector white to match my bathroom wall? Thinking the wall hardware might also need an upgrade? Additionally also looking to replace the flush button. I understand that it's a cheap option; however, currently a young homeowner on a tight budget. Hoping to make some small changes before I sell. Thanks

Re: Can I paint a BOSTON 300mm Burst Guard Plus Water Connector white to match my bathroom wall?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @AislingO. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about painting fittings.

You could spray-paint the water connector white if you really want it to match your bathroom wall, but keep in mind it might require a few light coats and proper surface prep to get a smooth finish. Ensure you cover the surrounding tiles and toilet with a drop sheet to protect them from overspray.

For the wall connector, you could consider swapping it out for a Brasshards Mini Cistern Tap 15mm White Lead-Free, which would match the white look more reliably and save you the hassle of painting.

Regarding the flush button, are you looking to replace a broken button or just change the colour? Standard flush buttons usually only come in chrome, so painting them is possible, but you’d need to be cautious. If the paint starts to chip, it can end up looking worse than the original chrome finish.

Small updates like these can make a noticeable difference, especially on a budget, but for long-lasting results, swapping parts for white alternatives might be the cleaner solution.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
