Can I use the acoustic wall panels in the bathroom? They won't get any water directly on it however, will be exposed to steam.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Jadan. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about acoustic wall panelling.
Our Prempanel acoustic wall panelling is not designed to be used in wet areas such as bathrooms or outdoors. Although they might not be in the splash zone, the whole bathroom is considered a high-humidity environment. DO NOT use Specrite Timber Acoustic Slat Panels in areas where the panels may get wet or damaged by moisture. One concern would be that they have a felt backing which is likely to absorb moisture and lead to mould formation.
For a similar appearance, but suitable for wet environments, you might consider the QuickBoard products. They are a PVC composite and are less likely to be affected by moisture.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
