Complete combined bathroom/laundry upgrade.
Our 80s shack down south was in desperate need of attention. With double layered Lino floors, pink tiles in a shower wall lower than head height, and only enough plumbing to run the sink tap or washing machine at once, we needed functionality and updated aesthetics.
It has been a labour of love working with all the quirks of this place. Designing the layout to keep some of the natural charm and features with a new feel.

Steps
Step 1
The strip and surface preparation began.

Step 2
Walls were buffed to remove the introduced plaster texture and walls rendered to level out and bring in some more natural texture to the room.

Step 3
The old pink shower was stripped and ripped. Tiling began on walls that remained.

Step 4
The shower wall was trimmed back to a more standard size, extended wall to the roof on the right side and a small nib wall built on the left to suit the new shower screen size.

Step 5
Shower waterproofed and wall tiling completed. Got the hang of the subway tiles by this point.

Step 6
Floor tiling commenced.

Step 7
Hardwood resined prepared for the sink and washing machine bench.

Step 8
Bench and cabinets cut to suit.

Step 9
Final cabinetry, painting, washing machine installation and mirror fitting.

Step 10
Shower screen install (definitely a two person job), tap and handles fitted, trim and shelves installed.
