I want to do a makeover on my bathrooms. I intend to put new taps and new vanities purchased from Bunnings. Do I need Council Approval?or if any approval and if so from whom! Thanks. Helen
Hello @He77
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fabulous to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your bathroom renovation.
Generally speaking, if you are not making any major structural changes or repositioning the location of your shower and vanity, it's not necessary to get council approval. If you are upgrading your vanity and tapware and they are staying in the same location, there is no need for a permit to do this.
However, please note that some states require a registered plumber to make these changes for you. Just to be on the safe side, I suggest checking out the rules and regulations of your local council to see what the requirements are for plumbing works.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
