Do you still paint sealer coat before applying Dulux PRECISION Maximum Strength Adhesion Prime?

Question

I have just bought new Hume External Door Duracote Flush Solicore SCX1. Please need someone advice for a few things:

1) Do I need to apply sealer coat before I apply Dulux PRECISION White Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer. (2 coats for either of them?)

2) With this type of door can I use this "Dulux White Aquanamel High Gloss Enamel Paint "

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your door.

The Dulux 1L PRECISION White Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer does not need any other sealer to go before it as it is technically the sealer to go on first on the surface of the door. My best advice is to sand the surface of the door if you are after a smooth finish. Once the primer has cured you can then use Dulux 1L White Aquanamel High Gloss Enamel Paint as a topcoat for the door. It is highly recommended for doors, architraves, skirting boards, internal and external windows.
