Is it easy to fit Solar Frost Window Film?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @KenM. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing window film.
Yes, it is reasonably easy to fit window film, and there are no especially difficult steps involved if you take your time. Start by thoroughly cleaning the glass to remove dust, dirt and any residue, as this is the most important part of getting a good finish. Cut the film slightly oversize so it overlaps the glass by a small amount on all sides. Spray the window generously with the application solution, which allows the film to slide into position, then place the film onto the glass with the backing removed. Once it is positioned correctly, use a squeegee to work from the centre outwards to push out air bubbles and excess liquid. When the film is smooth and well adhered, trim the edges neatly to size with a sharp blade. With a bit of patience and careful preparation, it is a very achievable DIY job and the results can be very satisfying.
