How do I connect my washing machine?

Hi! I've just moved to a new place and I'm struggling to find where/how to set up my washing machine.

I think I need some sort of adapter, but that's as far as I've got! I've added some photos of what I'm looking at. Any help/advice would be great.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @allideasnoidea. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine.

You might like to read through this helpful guide: How to connect a dishwasher. It's much the same process.

Are there taps available for you to connect your water inlet hoses to? Or, is it only the taps that are already occupied under the sink? The outlet hose from your washing machine pushes onto the barb that I've circled below. However, there are some funky fitting coming out of washing machines these days, so post a picture of the end of the waste hose if it doesn't fit.
