Hi, I purchased a showerhead from Bunnings thinking (or not thinking) that it would be an easy enough replacement. In hindsight, I should have taken the old showerhead off first and checked what kind of fitting is needed. Is there a way to get an adapter to fit this or should I just return and start again?
Hello @anna-cox
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your shower fitting.
The item you are looking at is a special sleeve fitting that works with your old shower set. In order to remove it I suggest using a Craftright 250mm Multi Grip Plier and turning it anticlockwise. If you plan on reusing the old shower set, I suggest covering the fitting with a tea towel before you grip it with the pliers. This will prevent the finish from getting damaged. Please remember to use plumber's tape before you screw on your new shower fitting.
