How to add adjustable shelving to laundry broom cupboard?

I'm trying to maximise the use of my broom cupboard. Currently it only have one shelf at the top and I would like to add more. Preferably something that I can adjust in the future. What's the easiest way to do this? Was thinking of drilling holes and use shelf support pins to hold the shelf.
