best way to provide support on blue side as there is skirtings

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
Typically, you would just install a sheet of Melamine or a Base End Panel, and cut a notch in the back so it will fit over the skirting board. You would measure the skirting board, mark the sheet and cut out the notch with a handsaw.
You could then use angle brackets with 15mm screws to connect the benchtop to the panel.
If the issue is that the panel would sit directly on top of the skirting board running along the wall marked in blue, then you would simply follow the same process, but install the panel around 20mm out from the wall. You could then use a timber trim or cover strip to conceal the gap to the wall.
