How to attach shower head to bathtub spout?

Hi,

I bought a shower head set to attach it to existing bathtub spout. I have all plumbing gear but I think I need an adapter of some sort to attach the shower head hose. 

I can't change the spout as I live in a rental place, so I can only attach something to it. 

I measured the spout diameter to 23mm

The hose you have is designed to attach to a copper fitting on the wall in a shower and not to a bathtub spout. There are units like the Estilo Push On Shower, which are designed to attach to a spout. 

This Kinetic 3 Piece Chrome Plated Aerator Adaptor Kit should convert the fine thread of the aerator into a coarser 15mm thread, making it suitable for attaching to your hose. In your third picture, the fitting on the left is attached to the shower handset, and the fitting on the right connects to the aerator adaptor. The click-on fitting in the kit is not needed for your install.
