How to build plinth for washing machine and dryer?

I am currently In the middle of renovation our laundry and looking to raise our washing machine and dryer up by 300m (side by side, not stacked) and just curios if anyone has attempted to make their own DIY plinth to do the same or similar and if there was any tips anyone had.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

It wouldn't be too difficult; you could use some 70x35 framing to create a frame, then clad it with some White Matt Carcass Particleboard MR.

I'd make 3 small frames that are 284mm tall and as wide as you need them for your washing machine. I'd suggest 3 because there will be a decent amount of weight when the washing machine is full, so supporting the centre of the plinth is super important

I would then attach the particleboard panels to the outside of these frames with 28mm Chipboard Screws, predrilling and countersinking each one with the 8g bit in this Frost 5 Piece HSS Quickbit Countersink Drill Set.

You could then use iron-on melamine to cover up any of the cut edges and Self Adhesive Screw Caps to cover any screws.

This would be a solid and aesthetically pleasing plinth for your washer and dryer to sit on.

If you wanted something premade, you could always use this Bedford 666mm White Front Loading Washing Machine Stand, but at 403mm tall, it would be slightly taller than the 300mm you were hoping for.
