How to change 2½ turn tap to quarter turn tap?

Hi all,

Our shower taps hot and cold are 2½ turn tap. I'm wondering if it possible to change those taps to a quarter or half turn tap without changing the full plumbing but just the tap and the spindle?

Hi @Cedes, 

I've never encountered a ceramic disc spindle that is too short, as their length can be adjusted. I'm not sure if it would help in your circumstances, but there are ceramic disc extenders. 

Are these wall or basin taps? For wall, the spindles are typically slightly longer, so make sure you're picking up a kit that states it is for wall, such as the EZYFIX Modern Lever Retrofit 3/4 Turn Wall Tap Assembly Chrome.

You might like to consider enlisting the services of a plumber. Replacing taps is considered plumbing work and requires a licensed plumber.
