Help! I have inherited a very old and worn toilet roll holder and looking to update it. Don't have the tools to drill new holes in the tiles so hoping to leverage the bracket that's already in the wall. Is anyone aware of a make or model, or method, that could be used to install on this existing bracket? The screws appear too widely set to fit more modern models.
Hello @Lambalina
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your toilet roll holder.
As a possible replacement, I suggest having a look at the Estilo Chrome Bella Single Toilet Roll Holder. It has a flat adjustable flange that may work with the existing drilled holes in your tiled wall. To double check, I suggest removing the old mounting flange on the wall and bringing it with you when you go to the store. Put it right next to the Estilo mounting flange and observe the mounting holes to see if they line up. If they do, then you know that it can be mounted to your wall.
One other option in case they don't line up is to use one portion of the screw hole in the wall and use Selleys 80g Liquid Nails Clear Construction Adhesive - 80g to fix the mounting flange on the wall to prevent it from swaying. Once the adhesive cures you can then mount the toilet roll holder.
