Hi,
I am looking to change this sink to a bigger one.
1. Is there a sink that will work without impacting the door?
2. If I were to add tiles, how can I do that on existing gyprock wall?
Thanks.
Hello @sum1989
Thanks for sharing your question about changing your bathroom sink. I propose measuring the space between your door and the wall where the basin is. This will give you an idea of how big a basin you can put in.
I suggest having a look at the following basins and see which one is suitable:
Their details will be indicated on the webpage, but it's important that you double check the distance as I have mentioned, before you make any purchase. In regards to the tiling, the general steps are to clean and prepare the wall and tile right over the plaster wall.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How To Tile A Splashback

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the help. I have measured the distance. Think I can go till 330mm width max.
With the tiles, I am assuming I do not need to worry about waterproofing?
Thanks.
Hello @sum1989
Yes, there is no need to waterproof the splashback as it is a very small section. Just keep in mind that you would not want it too big so that you can still manoeuvre inside the toilet.
