can I change shower head only and if so any recommendations for a new shower head

It is possible to change your shower head and arm as a whole. Changing just the head is not possible as far as I'm aware, this type of shower head is sold only as a complete set that includes the arm. I propose looking at the Estilo Chrome 3 Function Hand Shower & Connector Set WELS 3 Star Rated 9L/min or the Flexispray Bermuda 3 Function Hand Shower WELS 3 Star 9L/min as a possible replacement for your existing shower set.

One other option is to try and clean the shower head by soaking it in CLR 1L Calcium Lime Rust Remover.

Here are the general steps to clean your shower head if covered in calcium deposits:

* Prepare the CLR solution: Mix equal parts of CLR and water in a container large enough to submerge the shower head. 
 
* Soak the shower head: Submerge the shower head in the solution. 
 
* Allow it to soak: Let the shower head soak for 2-3 minutes. (longer for very heavy deposits)
 
* Agitate if needed: For heavy buildup, use a brush or sponge to scrub the shower head while submerged. 
 
* Rinse thoroughly: Remove the shower head and rinse it thoroughly with cold water.
 
* Repeat if necessary for stubborn deposits.
