I have a similar issue with my bathroom basins and the plugs. Any suggestions how to clean and bring back the look of the plugs?

I propose using CLR 750ml Bathroom And Kitchen Cleaner on the surface to remove the limescale buildup on the surface. I then suggest using Bar Keepers Friend 595g Cleanser & Polish Powder to polish the surface. You can try to shine the surface of the plug and waste with Turtle Wax 500mL High Shine Spray Wax. But remember to use only on the plug and waste.
