what do i need to buy to connect this two?
Hello @JD-1971
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your washing machines drain hose.
I suggest having a quick look at this guide - How to connect a dishwasher (the techniques used are applicable to your washing machine). Your exit hose technically goes over the barbed nipple of the sink trap and is pushed on. IN order for the hose not to get pulled out a hose clamp is attached and tightened over the end of the hose.
However, it appears that your hose's end has been cut, and I am not sure if the end is still flexible enough to work properly. If the hose end is too hard and will not flex, you'll need to replace it with a new one such as the Kinetic 2m Grey PVC Washing Machine And Dishwasher Outlet Drain Hose or the BOSTON 1.2 - 4m Expandable Washing Machine And Dishwasher Outlet Drain Hose.
If you need further assitance, please let us know.
