How to connect washing machine inlet hose with different thread?

I moved into new house, the water inlet hose fitted is different size from my washing machine hose. Is there any fix or adapter I can buy to connect both.

thanks

Re: How to connect washing machine inlet hose with different thread?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @bilawalaziz. It's fabulous to have you join us and many thanks for your question about connecting a washing machine.

It looks like the mismatch is between the 15mm fitting on the steel flexi hose and the 3/4-inch thread on your washing machine hose. A common solution is to use a fitting such as the Brasshards 20 x 15mm Brass Threaded Hex Reducing Bush LF, which would allow the adaptation of the 15mm thread to suit your washing machine connection.

That said, adding or altering fittings like this can be considered plumbing work, so the safest approach is to have a licensed plumber install the adapter for you. This way, you’ll know the connection is secure, watertight, and compliant.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
