Re: How to cover vertical window gap?

Hi @Oshah,

Thank you for your question on how to fill this gap in your bathroom window.

I'd advise you stuff gap filler rod into the gap as a backing for some Selleys 300g Wet Area Waterproof Silicone Sealant - Black to match the black frame of the window. You'll need a caulking gun such as this UNi-PRO Skeleton Caulking Gun to carry out this job.

You might like to have a look at our handy D.I.Y article How To Silicone a Gap for some guidance on how to carry out this process.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Jacob

Thanks Mate, but the gap can't be filled with your suggested method.

Re: How to cover vertical window gap?

Hello @Oshah

Can you please describe to us the gap you are referring to? Is it the meshed covered portion of the assembly you are referring to? If this is the gap you are talking about, I don't recommend covering it as it serves as a natural ventilation for the bathroom even when the window and doors are closed. This also prevents the room from creating a vacuum.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
