How to fill conduit channel in brick?

Hi

I've just had the plumber. I need to relocate the electrical, plan channel, and install it below the copper and around the circuit.

What is best option to fill the channel once condiit is in pkace.  Can i use the same material for completing the plumbing as well.

Re: How to fill conduit channel in brick?

Hello @greg303

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your conduit channel in your brick wall.

Please note that any transfer or movement of electrical and plumbing fittings must be carried out by the appropriate trade's person for safety and compliance. Once the necessary channels have been moved to their new location, I suggest using Davco 5kg 136 Rapid Patching Mortar to cover the chase. However, if the chase is more than 75mm deep I recommend using Sika 20kg Sika MonoTop-352NFG Structural Repair Mortar.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: How to fill conduit channel in brick?

Hello @greg303

It all depends on the requirements of the trades people. I propose consulting them on their needs in regards to how deep the chase should be. It also depends on how big the conduit will be and how much space the electrician will want around the conduit.  If you are asking if there is a default depth, I'm currently not aware of one.
