In our shower wall, I have noticed cracks on the edge of the shower tile. The crack is not on the tile itself, but rather on whatever filler sits in between the two shower wall sides. Is there a suitable filler to fill in these cracks?
Hi @lenstaa,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
The filler product used at corner junctions with tiles is always silicone because unlike grout, it is flexible and will allow for slight movements. Unfortunately, it seems like your silicone has lost its bond with the side of the tile.
Unfortunately, you can't really just top it up, especially when you have such a small gap. The best solution is to cut out the old silicone, using a utility knife, then replace it with fresh White Silicone.
Please remember to wear gloves and long protective clothing when using knives, as there is always potential for lacerations.
Once the silicone has been removed, you can replace it following the guidance in How To Silicone a Gap.
Ensure the bead of silicone is wide enough to fully cover the gap.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
