Re: How to fit washing machine inlet hose to brass tap?

Hi @AlanS5,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

Start by seeing if you can remove the tip from your hose, as there may be a usable thread beneath it.

You might need to use some multigrip pliers to grasp and rotate it off.

If this works and it reveals a thread, depending on the size, you can use either a brass hex reducing nipple or a brass hex nipple to allow you to attach an inlet hose to the tap.

If the tip does not rotate off, you may need to replace the tap with a threaded one such as this Syneco 3/4" Brass Garden Hose Tap. If you go down this route, make sure you turn the water off at the water meter and double-check the size of the thread on the back of the tap. Bringing your old tap to the store with you will help ensure you get parts that fit together and work for you.

Please let me know if you require any further clarification or assistance. I am happy to help further if required.
