Hi there,
I had my laundry renovated recently and the corner wooden strips and the corners of the window were removed. Post renovation those were restored but I feel like it requires some fixing and painting. I would need some suggestion on how to handle this and make it need and tidy. - Thanks in advance

Hello @thisischandar
Thank you for sharing your question about your window frames. Before you begin, I suggest doing a quick paint test. Apply some methylated spirits to the tip of a clean rag and rub the surface of the painted window frame. If the paint comes off the paint used is water-based. If the paint does not come off and only gets a polish it is oil-based. Once you know which paint base was used, I recommend using the same type.
It appears that some surface damage has occurred during the renovation process. I propose fixing the uneven corners first by either nailing or screwing the corners down so that they are all level. I then suggest filling in the damaged sections with Parfix 500g Ready To Use Multipurpose Filler. I recommend sanding the entire surface of the window frame to flatten the filled surface and remove any flaking paint on the surface.
Once the sanding is finished, I suggest wiping the surface down with Selleys Sugar Soap Wall Cleaning Wipes - 25 Pack to remove all the dirt and sanding dust. The general paint process will be to paint the surface with a primer such as Dulux 1Step Prep Primer, Sealer & Undercoat 1L and a topcoat of Dulux 1L Aquanamel Semi Gloss White Enamel Paint or similar.

Hi @EricL
Thanks for the reply and your suggestion, I haven't had a chance to work on it yet but will definitely keep you posted once I start.
On the other hand, can I use the below to fill the dry wall for repairing paint peelings in the gyprock?
Parfix 500g Ready To Use Multipurpose Filler
Reg sanding the window frame, could you please advise which sanding sheet to look for?
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

Hello @thisischandar
Yes, the Parfix 500g Ready To Use Multipurpose Filler will work on your gyprock wall as well. I suggest starting with 180grit sandpaper and finishing with 240grit.
