Re: lights Fixing

Hello @shawnkk

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your light fixing.

I propose removing your light cover first and putting it on a table so that you can safely remove the fluorescent bulb. Somewhere on the body of your bulb is its make and model, but it would be best if you bring the bulb with you to the store to make sure you are getting the right size and model. If after installing the new bulb and the light still refuses to turn on, I recommend engaging the services of a licensed electrician to diagnose your light fitting. I don't recommend doing any D.I.Y repairs to your electrical fitting as there is a danger of getting electrocuted or causing an electrical fire.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Re: How to fix bathroom light?

Hey shawnkk, sparky here. It's not a battery in the light fitting, its the electronic ballast to start and regulate the current through the fluorescent bulb. The bulb looks faulty as you can see from the black scorch marks inside the tube itself, swap the tube with a new one and see if it comes good, if not then the electronic ballast is faulty
